Hello Alberta Innovation Community,
While there are alot of events happening throughout the year, there are still many entrepreneurial tech companies that miss these strategic opportunities that can be key to their future growth.
So what is the reason? Are they too busy? Do they need to focus and get things done in the office? Are they introverts and don’t enjoy the pressures of networking and large crowds?
– The Answer? You can always find reasons not to go outside of your comfort zone – however entrepreneurs will go to events, if they feel that it is an effective use of their time.
At Technology Alberta – we begin with the end in mind, to make impactful events for all stakeholders. With an entrepreneur-first approach, the entrepreneurs show up – they know they will get a chance to see their colleagues. When there are entrepreneurs in the room, service providers want to be there – they want to hear what the entrepreneurs need, and want to share information on their programs and services. And then we do what Technology Alberta and our partners do well – we connect the entrepreneurs, to people who can help them grow.. we collectively share our networks, make intentional introductions, and get the conversation started – to deliver great outcomes for all.
By thinking of Alberta’s Entrepreneurs first – Technology Alberta seeks to make meaningful connections easy. Our events have name tags, we have all room participants introduce themselves so conversations become easy, our surveys provide opportunities for introductions to be made, and Community-Builders attend so that they can help connect and advise.
You know you are in the right place, when everyone is there for the same reason. Thank you all for seeking ways to help Alberta’s tech entrepreneurial companies grow – and please let us know if you are interested in helping with the ASTech Awards and other events as part of this provincial village, that is building Alberta’s tech sector. You are all invited – and many thanks for your help!
