The Magic of Numbers – Milestones, Targets, and Critical Mass
As many of Technology Alberta’s community members have a STEM Background, something that we have in common is appreciating the Magic of Numbers. Numbers can provide focus concisely – especially when used for Milestones, Targets, and to show Critical Mass.
So what are the numbers relevant to us this week? 100, 35, and 3.1415..
100: Our ABTEC5000 Hiring Company Listing for the year – is already at 100! See the bottom of our email for this week’s feature of 5 Calgary Companies and 5 Edmonton Companies – that brings the number of Growing and Hiring Alberta Tech Companies featured this year to 100! We are on track to featuring 500 companies again this year – which definitely shows Critical Mass, and the great momentum that is being generated across Alberta by our growing Innovation Sector.
35: 35 Years of Innovation in Alberta featured through the ASTech Awards 35th Anniversary Program. Thank you to all the community members, such as NABI and APEX (SouthEastern Alberta RIN supported by Alberta Innovates), who are part of this 35 week-long feature.
3.1415: Thursday, March 14 (3.14), where the tech community celebrates with PIe – Join us, at ATC – where Technology Alberta is bringing PIe to Companies and Community at the Advanced Technology Centre in the Edmonton Research Park. Thank you to ERPBC and the new ATC Building Management team, for the invitation to co-host this event. To all – join us! Currently over 70 people are signed up, and it is exciting to see Calgary attendees joining us both in-person and on-line.
In Summary, the numbers represent the magic, but it is the people who generate momentum.
What a pleasure it is to be part of a community in action!
See you soon everyone,
Gail
