Thank you from the Technology Alberta FIRST Jobs Program Team – and more to come
So pleased to share this big Thank you to all who have supported the Technology Alberta FIRST Jobs Program – especially the 50 SME tech companies (showcased in this poster) who worked with us to show what an exciting and supportive community Alberta’s Tech Sector is, what an experience the 55 Young Professionals – from University of Alberta, University of Calgary, University of Lethbridge, SAIT, Norquest, and more – have had! Thank you also to Alberta Innovation system partners who helped showcase the outstanding innovation opportunities we have here – to both the entrepreneurial tech companies and young professionals alike: Innotech, ASTECH, ACAMP, CRIN, TECTERRA, ISAIC, AMII and more. Thank you to our funder – Western Economic Diversification through RRRF for making the FIRST Jobs program possible. And many thanks to Technology Alberta FIRST Jobs Program Team – what a great pilot, thank you all for making a difference for so many! And Thanks to the Government of Alberta – for supporting the NExT rounds of the Technology Alberta Jobs Programs – more information to follow (Note: Companies and Professionals wanting to be on our Waiting List for future rounds, sign up on technologyalberta.ca)
Some items to look for in this month’s newsletter:
- Collision Tech Conference April 20-22 – On-line Version: Coming to you (no longer just in Toronto). Be sure to make this on-line event, as this is a rare opportunity to be part of a major tech event from your home. 40,000 participants are expected, and in the past Calgary and Edmonton Tech communities joined forces at this event to make a notable and greater Alberta Presence! (Note: Reduced On-line Ticket charges apply)
- Exciting News: New Accelerator to come to Alberta. Endeavor will have a head office in downtown Calgary. Supported by the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund and Western Economic Diversification Canada.
- Rainforest Connector: Tue, April 20, 4:30 PM – Panel of entrepreneurial Health Analytics companies and champions, including Health Gauge, MEDO, AltaML and Health City.
As always – we are interested in your input. Do you have ideas on how to make things even better for Alberta Tech Entrepreneurs? Contact us – and we would be pleased to help, collaborate, or make the needed connections.
Thanks everyone, and looking forward to seeing you soon,
Gail
