Skating to Where the Puck is Going to Be..
Our FIRST Jobs program team is enjoying this opportunity to work with hundreds of Small-to-Medium-Sized Alberta Tech Companies – thanks to the support of the Government of Alberta and PrairiesCan – to create 750 Work Placements for Alberta Students and New Graduates. Our additional waiting list of companies and 1500 students are evidence of the strength in talent and community-spirit that we have here in Alberta, together with the knowledge and experience in knowing how to attract, and retain talent – and to grow and scale Alberta’s Tech Companies.
This weeks Shout-out goes to some of these companies and community members:
- Natasha of Ayrton Energy, where her Hydrogen tech company in Calgary has now hired on their FIRST Job Students full-time, and are hiring an additional 10 people this year
- Leyla of SpectraCann, where her MedTech company has chosen to grow in Edmonton, due to the strength she sees in Alberta’s vibrant innovation community – already joining in on local accelerators, Inventures 2023, ASTech Awards, and more.
