Hello Community!
I was inspired from my recent conversation with the Medicine Hat Innovation leads, where they were sharing that “Medicine Hat citizens reduced their power usage over the cold-snap, so that the city-owned-utility-could make more money by selling back to the grid”. WOW – so that is an example, where everyone can make a difference by working together – and they did!
So how can everyone work together to grow Alberta’s tech sector? To Grow a Tech Sector, you need to grow Tech Companies, to grow Tech Companies Here in Alberta, they need to find the Talent HERE. So, what are the challenges in doing this? One of the many ways Technology Alberta helps address “Access to Talent” – is the ABTEC5000 Job Listing and Company Directory, which is printed through all of our social media channels (including this newsletter) which reaches 16,000 – and raises the visibility of Alberta’s Tech companies that are hiring (as their individual reach may be small)
Our ABTEC5000 team has 3 members – but there are ways to amplify their efforts, and everyone can help!
– Companies: Sent your Job Postings to [email protected]
– Champions: Share the ABTEC5000 Listings <reposting on Linked-In, or forwarding this newsletter>
– Post-Secondaries: Share the ABTEC5000 site link and newsletters with your students and your Career Centres
It takes a Community to build a Tech Sector, and in Alberta, we have a strong and growing Community! Companies, Champions, Post-Secondaries – it is an All-play!
Thanks Everyone,
