Subject: Public Speaking, and Speaking to the Public – Alberta Tech
Technology Alberta and the ASTech Awards are at provincial festivals throughout the summer – going far and wide, starting from the outstanding ASTech Awards Calgary Launch event during Stampede week, to next week’s Edmonton’s K-Days Innovation Showcase, and then off to Lethbridge’s Whoop-Up Days in August. Our focus is to work with local and provincial partners to connect with the general public and showcase Alberta’s thriving technology sector – bridging the gap between entrepreneurial tech companies and the wider community. We want to generate awareness with the public, letting them know that there are jobs for their children in Alberta’s growing tech sector – and a bright future here in our province. Whether engaging in conversations, answering questions, and providing insights and career opportunities on the FIRST Jobs programs and more – we want to help the public connect with Alberta’s tech community…
Looking forward to next week’s K-Days, the public will have the opportunity to meet some community partners and companies from July 25 to 27, including Alberta Innovates, Edmonton Regional Innovation Network, Gummy Nutrition Lab, OceanML, Simprolit Innovate Technologies, and Wilson Analytical Services. We’ll also host our monthly ICE event on July 27 to discuss Innovation in Robotics with 2 Alberta-based robotics companies: Aro Robotic Systems and Sarcomere Dynamics.
