As we Spring Forward this weekend, the Alberta Tech sector has even more to look forward to than the up-coming warmer spring weather, including information provided in this newsletter on: Funding Programs; Upcoming Conferences; Community Events.
As many of you have seen via Linked-in – Alberta Innovates is at the famous SXSW (South by Southwest) Conference in Austin Texas with many Alberta Entrepreneurs – helping these companies grow through increased understanding, visibility and networks. Reminder that registration to the Inventures Conference is open – so that you can have a small taste of this type of experience here in Alberta, and launch your international networks.
On the topic of local events, Technology Alberta is very pleased that our Entrepreneur-led monthly ICE Partner Series sessions continue to sell-out. Over 100 people are registered for the ERPBC Advanced Technology Centre (ATC) PI-Day March 14 session – featuring award-winning entrepreneurial companies: Nanoprecise, Umay, Nanospeed Diagnostics, and Frontech. We look forward to sharing clips from this event on our LinkedIn account, so be sure to follow us – and don’t miss next month’s session on Thursday, April 18, ICE Series 4: See what is brewing up in St. Albert – where our co-hosts are NABI, City of St. Albert, Rainforest, and ASTech award-winning entrepreneur – Wilson Analytical. Join us for open houses, discussions, and some featured local beverages.
So much, much, more to come – as we are all part of an exciting community,
Gail Powley, P. Eng
