UCalgary Industry Fair for postdocs is an hour-long, virtual event organized by the Postdoctoral Fellows Association of the University of Calgary (PDAC) on the occasion of the Postdoc Appreciation Week 2021. This event will take place on Monday, September 20th at 2pm MDT over multiple Zoom breakout rooms. The participation in this event is completely free for everyone.
Through this event, PDAC aims to facilitate interaction between the postdoctoral scholars at the University of Calgary and professionals from various industries within and outside of Canada. This event will provide a great platform for a broad range of companies to meet their potential employees from the University of Calgary. In addition to connecting potential employers with employees, this event will also provide answers to queries that postdocs may have about the private sector: what kind of positions are open to postdocs? How is it different from academia (pros/cons)? How to be best prepared to apply in private sector? …etc
